Thomas A. Cramer is a Democrat running for Congress in the 2010 election to represent the 8th Congressional District in Washington State, currently held by Republican Dave Reichert.

Early life

Tom Cramer's father was a union janitor and his mother worked in retail and as a secretary while he was growing up. With the help of state grants and working as a union janitor and as an assembly worker at a hog feeder factory, he worked his way through college. Cramer is married and has three children. All three went to state colleges in Washington.
Career

Cramer was an educator, an administrator, a rehabilitation director and a small business owner.
Politics

As President of Democratic Advancement PAC, a nationwide political action committee, he worked for the last eight years to elect progressive Democratic candidates to Congress. His campaign experience in over 48 Congressional races elected 16 people to Congress.
For the last 15 years, Cramer has been a PCO of his precinct.
2010 Run for Congress

Tom Cramer is running for the U.S. House of Representatives as a progressive Democrat against the incumbent in the 8th Congressional District, Dave Reichert, a Republican. His platform is based on implement environmental, economic, energy, educational, gay rights, and universal health care policy changes we need for our country. He holds rebuilding the economy and creating jobs for the future of the American middle-class as his priority.
