How Liberals and Conservatives Think
George Lakoff of Rockridge Institute has reported about how brains actually function on analogies and how he believes that the key analogy is the family and how it works or aught to work.
The Conservative view is informed by a Strong Father(SF) who rules without question or accountability, teaches and maintains order by threat of violence, and actually inflicting violence to achieve pain and instill "discipline" in the child that they would grow up "Moral" and do what their natural superiors expect of them.
The Liberal view is informed by the Nurturing Parent(NP) model that both parents are involved in helping the Child grow to the farthest advancement the child can manage, and by their empathy for the child, instill in the child empathy for others, and the goal that all people can advance and assist each other, and thus all benefit.
