This Doherty should not be confused with the wingnut New Jersey Republican U.S. Senate candidate Mike Doherty. That Doherty doesn't believe that the current global warming has anthropocentric causes: "One of the things that gets my goat are statements that I’ve heard that the debate is over," he whined. "It’s my understanding that the earth has warmed up and cooled down hundreds of times."
